MS Society Early Career Research Writing Retreat

Date

Sue recently attended the MS-Society Early Career Researcher (ECR) retreat at the University of Cambridge. The retreat, which is aligned with the Cambridge Centre for Myelin Repair (CCMR) Annual Symposium, places a focus on skills development and networking, giving late PhD students and ECRs the opportunity to meet others working in MS research and explore career trajectories. Sue was one of those chosen to deliver a flash presentation on her PhD research, outlining some of the qualitative findings from the healthcare professional arm of the MS-DVA project, but also pointing the way forwards to resources and the toolkit currently under development. The presentation was well received and sparked a number of interesting informal conversations about how this issue affects people with MS and how awareness can continue to be raised through further research.
