Award Success for the MS-DVA Toolkit Project
In November 2025 the MS-DVA research initiative team applied for a grant from the University of Leeds's Impact Acceleration Fund to support us in taking our project to the next stage. Our plans revolved around developing and refining the current toolkit even further and visiting MS Centres across the four nations to discuss how it might be used in practice. We also wanted to focus on launching this important resource early in 2026. We are delighted to say that we were successful in our application and can now take these plans forwards. One important aspect of our application was gaining the support of a new external partner to help us amplify the work of our project and raise awareness of the issue of DVA affecting people with MS. Our partners at MS-Trust have offered to work with us to launch the toolkit at their annual conference in March 2026. In the meantime we will be working hard with a creative agency in Leeds to refine our content, and we will be seeking final feedback from our network of stakeholders. We are very excited to be moving to the next stages of this important work.
